MedicalSmart : volunteers trained in data protection and the use of IoT equipment
The month of October is recognized as the European Cyber Security Month (ECSM). This year's campaign focused on diverse themes, emphasizing the need for behavioral change and identifying opportunities to help users recognize the risks associated with new technologies.
Hundreds of activities are organized across Europe, including conferences, workshops, training sessions, webinars and presentations, all aimed at promoting digital security and cybersecurity hygiene.
MedicalSmart took place in this context, emphasizing the need to integrate data protection measures in the field of health and the interventions of first aid volunteers.
MedicalSmart aims to train volunteers to meet both medical and data security requirements. The program is addressed to young people who, through their activity, interact with connected technological equipment and manage personal data. The training is aimed at reducing the risks associated with improper use of IoT equipment and protecting the privacy of sensitive information.
Volunteers come from first aid organizations across the country. Most of them are students or young people active in communities who frequently use technology in their interventions.
" I understood how important it is to work not only efficiently, but also responsibly. The victims' personal data are as sensitive as their health ," said Andreea, a volunteer from Cluj.
