Course on cyberbullying and online safety - European Cyber Security Month
As part of the " Otherwise School #ThinkB4Click European Cyber Security Month initiative Cyber Shield organized a series of interactive courses dedicated to cyberbullying and online safety, addressed to the students of Ciolpani. These educational sessions, supported by our colleague Andrea Gligor, aimed to provide young people with the necessary tools to recognize and manage risk situations in the online environment. In an ever-expanding digital age, education about the dangers of the Internet and methods of protection is a priority, and we are proud to contribute to this process.
The courses covered essential topics such as identifying the signs of cyberbullying, the importance of privacy settings on social networks and effective ways to ask for help if faced with risky situations. The activities were designed to be interactive and engaging, stimulating active student participation and encouraging them to share their own experiences and questions.
Andrea was able to create an open and friendly environment where students felt encouraged to discuss the challenges they face in the digital environment. The sessions were supported by teacher Ioana Radu and the team of Secondary School no. 1 Ciolpani, who were reliable partners in organizing these important events for the local community.
We want to emphasize that such initiatives are more than just lessons – they are concrete steps towards building a generation better prepared to navigate the digital world responsibly. Through these courses, students learned not only to recognize the dangers online, but also how to act to protect themselves and those around them.
